New Managing Director for myguideIreland |

myguideTravel Ltd. has appointed Joan O’Connell as Managing Director of myguideIreland Ltd. A native from Clondrohid and currently living in Clonakilty, Joan joined myguideIreland in 1999 as Travel Manager. Since then she has been responsible for offices in Ireland and Wales, and played an important role in the co-ordination and management of the new Boston office integration.
Joan’s new role will see her taking responsibility for Destination Ireland targeted at their five markets; Germany, France, Japan, UK and the most dominant, US, to create tailor-made holidays in Ireland.
Commenting on her new role, Joan said: “ The travel industry is a great industry to work in as it’s continually changing and developing, offering great variety and challenges. Ireland has always been, and continues to be a wonderful product offering and I’m thrilled to be leading myguideIreland.”
Joan has extensive travel industry experience having previously worked for UCC Travel and Lee Travel.
